TransPRK Smart Pulse is laser surgery based solely on the use of a laser beam and a new Smart Pulse technology where recovery after the procedure is even faster compared to conventional TransPRK Smart Pulse action. Contactless laser surgery is particularly suitable when a smaller refractive error is involved, such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism or if the cornea is thin.TransPRK Smart Pulse is a sophisticated surface treatment, epithelial tissue is removed with a laser that allows for more precision and a smoother and easier procedure than the traditional method (PRK), where epithelial tissue is scraped away or dissolved in alcohol.
The recovery process is shorter after treatment with TransPRK Smart Pulse than with traditional methods. Smart Pulse technology also offers faster vision recovery and less discomfort.
Best visual outcome from the procedures are similar in comparison to Femto-LASIK, best results are seen 4-6 weeks after surgery.
